Easy eye makeup

Easy eye makeup

So many women I meet tell me they don’t know where to start when it comes to eye makeup. They’re unsure of what colours to use and where to put what. One of the easiest ways to do a foolproof makeup is to use a cream eye shadow stick.

They are so easy to use and if you feel like you’ve made a mistake, remove with a cotton bud. Unlike powder eyeshadows, there’s no blotchiness or difficulty in blending. Bobbi Brown and Laura Mercier both have brilliant ones, and for a less expensive option, I love Beauty Pie.

Choose a nice coppery/gold or brown and apply directly from the stick over the entire lid to just below the socket. It doesn’t have to be neat. Then, using a blending brush, simply buff the outer edges.

If you’d like to add some liner for more definition, just apply a powder eyeshadow with a fine or angled brush along the top lash line, as close as possible to the lashes and blend. Finish with a coat or two of mascara.

And there you go. Show off your peepers!
